Support the fight against breast cancer, swing to the Blues Brothers soundtrack, and solve mysteries with the Theater Club this weekend, October 4-6

1. Dress head to toe in pink to support the fight against breast cancer this Friday, Oct. 4 at the home football game. Kickoff starts at 7:30. It is the last home game of the year, making it an event that can’t be missed.

2. Look for a big white tent this weekend at Naper Settlement to celebrate Oktoberfest. The festival will have everything German, from music to food.  Oktoberfest will occur from 5PM to 10PM on Oct. 4 and from 12PM to 10PM on Oct. 5.

3. Love blues music? Then, The Official Blues Brothers Revue is the perfect place to go to Saturday, Oct. 5. from 8PM to 10PM at Pfeiffer Hall in Naperville. Enjoy comedy and Blues Brothers Classics like “Sweet Home Chicago” and “Soul Man” performed by Wayne Catania as Jake and Kieron Lafferty as Elwood. 4. Instead of playing Clue as a board game, play this childhood classic in person at The Juice Joint Murder presented by the NNHS Theater Club. The 1920’s themed event will be held on Saturday Oct. 5 in the small cafeteria at 6PM. Tickets are $15 for students and $20 for adults. 5. Attention puppy lovers, this is the event for you. This Saturday, Oct. 5, Walgreens’ Doggy Adoption day will be held from 10AM to 2PM. The event will require about a 30 minute drive to reach the location at Walgreens, 2091 Orchard Rd, Montgomery (Orchard and Rt 30). Never fear, the trek will be well worth it. Not only will the event have seven local shelters attending with their cutest pooches, but there will also be Halloween costume contest for our four-legged friends. For more details go here.
