Take 5- Your Weekend Checklist

1. Paul Stanley’s band, KISS, was just recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Come see Stanely share his new book “Face the Music” at Anderson’s Bookshop this Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m. Stanely will take photos with fans, but he will not sign any memorabilia.

2. This Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18, Naper Settlement will open “Civil War Days” to the public. Take a trip back in time as the museum is transformed into a Civil War encampment. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth, and the battle takes place at 2:30 p.m. each day.

3. Join Columbia College at their South Loop Campus in Chicago for their fourteenth annual Manifest Urban Arts Festival. The free event will be an all-day soiree from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. this Friday, May 16. The day will be filled with art, music, and visuals that will showcase the diverse talents of Columbia students.

4. Rewind after a full week of school this Friday, May 16 with a free yoga class at Abhyaasa Yoga Studio in downtown Naperville from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The class is open to all levels so beginners and experts will both be pleased. Plus, snacks and tea will be provided.

5. Take a walk back in time and dine out too. Take a Naperville Bites and Sites food tour this Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. The tour will include food tastings from unique restaurants while also highlighting the hidden works of art in Naperville’s downtown area. The tour begins at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.napervillefoodtours.com.
