Tonight, Sept. 27, NNHS will be taking on Wheaton Warrenville South in the 2013 homecoming football game. The Huskies (1-3, 0-2 DuPage Valley Conference) are in for a tough game against the undefeated Wheaton Warrenville South Tigers (4-0, 2-0 DVC).
“I think the game will be a battle for sure. Our defense has been doing a great job of working together and staying tough up front. We’re going to have to be more a little more aggressive than we were last year,” said NNHS junior quarterback Chris Gajcak.
Last season, the Huskies suffered a heart-breaker against the Tigers, losing 24-21.
The Huskies have a lot of confidence going into this game but against an undefeated team ranked 5th in the state, it will go down to the wire.
“Our offense will do a great job. The O-Line (offensive line) needs to communicate, know their assignment, and hit somebody, which is something that they are very capable of,” Gajack said. “It’ll be a good game for sure but by the time all four quarters are up, we will have given all we’ve got and we 100% will win on Friday night against Wheaton South and there’s no doubt in that.”
Kickoff is at 7:30.
