Tha Carter IV continues the series brilliantly.

Lil Wayne’s new album, Tha Carter IV, is the fourth album of the Tha Carter series, and its apparent Lil Wayne has really tried making this album his best one yet.
With four top singles in the past 9 months, Lil Wayne must follow up on the success of Tha Carter III, which exceeded the one million total albums covered.
Looking at the track list for the album, I saw many of my favorite artists featured in Lil Wayne’s songs, including Drake, John Legend, Tech N9ne, Cory Gunz, and Busta Rhymes. The featured artists attracted me to listen to the album and almost immediately when I started listening, I was hooked.
Right off the bat, Lil Wayne’s rap made the song “Intro” great. On top of that, the added heavy bass took the song further than just the rap could take it alone. The more I listened, the more I got memorized. The solid hooks in songs like “John” and “She Will,” made it easy for me to replay over and over.
For the past week, this album has been the first thing that I try to listen to whenever I can. It acts as something to listen to in the car, as well as something to get me geared for Friday nights. The songs are constantly stuck in my head and I find this album as one of the best albums since Lasers by Lupe Fiasco.
