NNHS students in the Entrepreneur class have been getting creative this year with a new massage station.
At Rest the Stress, a student can purchase a session on a massage chair to ease stress and aching backs for only $1.
The new idea came to help students take a more relaxing break from rough school days and so far, the new service has been successful.
“It’s a really great massage that helps with the stress of the school day.” Said Co-owner Jonah Squire
Unlike previous years of the entrepreneur class, students this year are not allowed to sell food as their business. This prohibition was put in place because Sodexo felt that it was unhealthy competition. The students, however, find this new rule is making their business difficult to make successful.
“Not as many people want a massage as they would a slice of pizza or popcorn.” Said Squire.
However that has not stopped the students from trying.
An added feature to the message chairs is Nintendo 64 (N64) station so customers can play Super Smash Brothers while they get a relaxing massage.
Squire said that the N64 was brought in to increase a stagnant customer flow.
The massage chairs set Squire and his co-workers Connor Sharples and Matt Jennings back $200. They consist of a massaging device that works its way up and down the customers back and has additional features such as vibration and heat.
“Look for the foam finger!” said Sharples “A great massage is just around the corner”
