Photo-sliders: Sidewalk Kindness
Following a turbulent election day and emotional assemblies at Naperville North, a group of students made a point to promote camaraderie. Looking outside or walking into school the last few days, one may have noticed positive and encouraging messages written on the sidewalks. NNHS teacher Stephanie Sullivan and her World Cultures class wanted to further solidify the idea that despite the state of our country after the election, and in light of other problems, NNHS is still a supportive, inclusive school that promotes a safe environment. These topics resonate with Chris Herren’s talk along with the school assembly to honor the Cross Country and Soccer State Champion teams.
“We wanted to help create an inclusive environment embracing difference rather than putting them down. We don’t want that to happen here,” Sullivan said.
