Halloween binge-watching guide

Halloween binge-watching guide

Oct. 31 has finally arrived, and that means now is the time to binge-watch all of your favorite Halloween movies while it’s still socially acceptable. These fun and scary picks are perfect for family time, date night or just hanging out with friends. Grab some popcorn and a bag of candy, and get in the spirit with these four Halloween classics.

“Halloweentown”

“Halloweentown” is our generation’s version of a classic: It’s a 1998 Disney Channel Original Movie. Marnie Piper, played by Kimberly J. Brown, discovers she is a witch on her 13th Halloween despite her mother (Judith Hoag) attempting to hide it from her. When Marnie and her siblings decide to follow their grandmother Aggie (Debbie Reynolds) to a town inhabited by monsters, the family has to join together to save Halloweentown.

“Twitches”

Starring Tia and Tamera Mowry, this movie is one you do not want to miss! When sisters Alex and Camryn were separated at birth, they were both given necklaces that will magically bring them back together later in life. The two girls are actually twin witches (also known as “twitches”) and on Halloween, they have to escape the darkness of their newly discovered kingdom.

“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”

I don’t know about you, but I always anticipated the Charlie Brown holiday specials when I was little. This movie is a great way to bring back childhood memories of Halloween. Charlie and the Peanuts gang celebrate Halloween with trick-or-treating, costumes, and wait for arrival of the mysterious Great Pumpkin.

“Insidious: Chapter 3”

Warning: Do not watch this movie at night or alone if you are easily freaked out. In this movie, teenager Quinn Brenner, played by Stefanie Scott, tries to contact her dead mother and asks for the help of psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye), but she refuses due to bad experiences in the past. When things turn paranormal in Quinn’s life and it becomes apparent that she is in danger, Elise agrees to help save her.
